The Model AFM air flow monitor-alarm, is a single probe instrument used for detecting mass air flow in air ducts. It automatically warns of an air flow deviance that falls below a calibrated set point value.

In-use, a single, 5/16" diameter probe is directly inserted into the air flow.  A set point is established at normal air flow just above the desired alarm threshold.  If the air flow rate drops to the set point, a yellow indicator light becomes visible. If the air flow remains below the established set point for more than approximately 10 seconds, a red status indicator light begins flashing, and an audible alarm sounds. The probe used in the Model AFM is rapid and repeatable.

Nominal flow ranges that can be used for the Model AFM are 50-700 and 600-1200 fpm. The Model AFM air flow monitor is calibrated at 30°C, and is intended for use above 30°C; with +/- 10°C temperature range. Other temperature and air flow ranges are available.

The standard unit is wall-mounted and approximately 5"wide x 4.25"high x 1.75" deep.  A small plug-in power supply is used to operate the unit.
