Hampshire Controls Corp. Announces New Ownership and President
After successfully leading Hampshire Controls Corporation for 18 years – providing real-time monitors, loggers, and condition notification systems of unsurpassed quality and reliability - Diane Rush recently retired as Owner and President of Hampshire Controls.
Ms. Rush stated, “I am pleased to announce that Dr. Michael Pilon, a 30-year veteran from the bioanalytical instrumentation industry, has purchased Hampshire Controls and has assumed the chief executive role.”
She continued, “Mike served as the General Manager of one of Thermo Fisher Scientific’s most successful business units for 17 years, supplying critical life-saving imaging technologies to radiation oncology clinics and unique imaging technologies to the analytical instruments industries. He adds considerable experience and expertise to our already talented team.”
Dr. Pilon, the new Owner & President, indicates, “We plan no short-term changes to our products or services. We will remain focused on delivering the high-quality monitoring, logging, and condition notification systems and calibration services offered since the company’s founding in 1976. However, we will be developing some exciting innovative products focusing on Hampshire Controls’ mission: ‘Safeguarding Your Precious Biological Materials.’”
“Our company is exceedingly grateful to Diane for her exceptional leadership and friendship over the years, and importantly, for agreeing to stay onboard as President Emeritus through the end of 2021 to ensure a smooth transition. We wish her the very best in her retirement.”
“We thank our customers, distributors, vendors, and other business partners for their staunch support throughout the years. We look forward to the work ahead and toward strengthening our business relationships.”
Hampshire Controls Corporation designs and manufactures wired and wireless NIST monitors, loggers, alert notification and airflow monitoring equipment for continuous tracking and traceability for lab research, vaccine storage, pharmaceutical storage, food storage and industrial manufacturing applications.

United Vaccines Chooses Hampshire Controls' Freezer Temperature Liquid Nitrogen Level Detector/Alarm and Air Flow Monitor/Alarm for Vaccine Production and Storage.
Headquartered in Verona, Wisconsin, United Vaccines, Inc. (UV) is known as the leading manufacturer of veterinary vaccines for the fur-bearing animal industry worldwide. Like many manufacturing companies, UV faces a continuing problem; their important biological samples must be properly maintained in ultra-cold, long-term storage with 24/7 monitoring.
Currently, United Vaccines' facility utlilizes Hampshire Controls' Model LD 215 freezer/Dewar liquid nitrogen level detector/alarm systems to act as a fail-safe for the mammalian vaccines UV is producing and storing in ultra cold dewars. They also use Hampshire Controls’ Air Flow Monitor systems to monitor their laminar flow hoods and biosafety cabinets.

Case Study Conducted with the University of Colorado's Anschutz
Medical Campus Lab by Students from the University of New
Hampshire's Peter T. Paul College of Business and Economics.
Hampshire Controls worked with students and faculty at the University of New Hampshire's Peter T. Paul College of Business and Economics, to help students write a "real-world" case study involving one of our customers; the University of Colorado's, Anschutz Medical Campus Lab.
Like many of our other medical and laboratory customers, we provided the University of Colorado with systems to help solve their unique cold storage applications issues involving research viruses and other medical-related biological samples stored inside ultra cold temperature freezers and dewars. After an application review, we recommended the use of our Model T° Sentry 140 temperature alarm/monitoring systems and this is what they purchased and what we installed.

Unique Integration of ALERT Monitoring System Logging and Alarm Notification System with Temperature and Humidity Monitors
Flexcon Industries is one of the leading manufacturers of pre-pressurized diaphragm water tanks in the world. They recently purchased Hampshire Controls’ ALERT Monitoring System integrated with several Hampshire Controls sensor/alarm modules for the continuous real-time monitoring and logging of various environmental conditions in their manufacturing processes.
For their critical manufacturing process control applications, Flexcon needed to continuously monitor and log eight temperature locations within their serpentine composite convection oven while collecting temperature and humidity data from other manufacturing equipment and related processing materials.
To make this possible, we installed an MPS-8 (with eight, type "K" thermocouple sensors located within specific regions of the oven) and one special TT-150HT monitoring module (that collects temperature and humidity data at another location). These sensors were integrated into the ALERT Monitoring System data logging software to provide comprehensive data collection.
Flexcon Industries now has complete control of manufacturing process conditions and they can analyze the process data to continuously improve those processes.

Integration of Our ALERT Monitoring System for Laboratory Wi-Fi Logging and Alarm Condition Notification with Temperature Sensor/Transmitter Modules.
The laboratory at the Harvard Chan School of Public Health advanced biomedical research lab is currently using our ALERT Monitoring System data logging software along with six, Hampshire Controls Model TT-200 battery-operated temperature transmitters with type "T" thermocouples.
The TT-200s send sensor data via Wi-Fi to the ALERT Monitoring System data logging software for continuous temperature logging and alarm notification of their six ultra-low temperature liquid nitrogen bio-storage Dewars.
These LN2 freezers contain all the invaluable biological samples they use in all their research work and they must be stored and monitored within a specific “cold chain” temperature range.
